Safety always comes first in our comfortable surroundings. Dr. Prasad was one of the first surgeons to participate in the changeover to a Quick Recovery Facelift. This technique involves the same level of rejuvenation as a traditional facelift but does not involve as much risk or downtime. The majority of his facelifts are performed under local anesthesia with IV sedation. Patients go home from our facility two to three hours after the procedure and return to their normal lifestyle in about one week. The Quick Recovery Facelift lasts for about 2 to 3 hours which is a much shorter amount of time than a traditional facelift which lasts about 4 hours minimum. The Quick Recovery Facelift usually has significantly less bruising than a traditional facelift.

Upper Eyelid Cosmetic Surgery

Better known as upper lid blepharoplasty, it is a surgical procedure that repairs eyelid problems and are better known as eyelid lifts. Excess skin, muscle, and fatty tissue that tend to accumulate are removed from the upper eyelids through an incision that is hidden in the natural creases above the eyelids. These eyelid cosmetic surgery scars are very difficult to see over time even without makeup.

Lower Eyelid Cosmetic Surgery

Another option is a lower lid blepharoplasty which is cosmetic surgery for lower lids. This generally utilizes a transconjunctival approach which means that this eyelid cosmetic surgery is performed through the inside part of the eyelid so that no external visible scar is created when fatty tissue is removed. An incision may also be made just below the base of the lashes if excessive skin or muscle folds are found below the eye. As this incision heals, the fine scar should become barely visible.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

The laser treatment is performed in our comfortable, state-of-the art office operating suite under local anesthesia. In this facial cosmetic treatment, layers of skin are removed restoring a softer, smoother, more youthful appearing skin. The Erbium laser is our preferred laser for resurfacing. This laser produces less heat and is considerably gentler to the skin than other resurfacing lasers. Treatment with the Erbium laser stimulates the production of collagen which results in a tightening and smoothing of the skin.

Botox Treatment

Since facelifts don’t take away fine wrinkles, Botox is an excellent supplement to a facelift/total rejuvenation package. A facelift will be excellent for addressing midface, jowls, and upper neck issues but there will not be a major change in more superficial wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes. Botox can be performed during the local anesthesia/IV sedation of a facelift to maximize the effects of the facelift.
